The floating panel

dooze lives at the edge of your screen. It is there when you need it and invisible when you do not.

The launcher and the panel

Two windows work together. The launcher is the small icon at the screen edge. The panel is where you work — conversations, inputs, results.

Three sizes

The launcher moves through three states.

Micro — a small circle, resting quietly at the edge. This is the idle state.

Mini collapsed — hover over the launcher and action buttons appear.

Mini expanded — hold for a moment and labels appear next to the buttons.

Click a button to open the full panel.

Pin mode

Toggle the pin icon to keep the panel above other windows. When unpinned, it behaves like a regular window — it can fall behind whatever you are working in.

Drag to reposition

Drag the launcher vertically to any position along the screen edge. Your position persists across sessions.

Following you across screens

When you switch to an app on a different monitor, dooze follows. It repositions to the right edge of whichever screen has the active app.

The position is ratio-based. It stays proportionally in the same spot regardless of screen size.

It only moves when the launcher is collapsed, not while you are working in the panel.
