Meeting recording
Dooze records your meetings, transcribes them live, and gives you a summary when they end.
Starting a recording
Click Notetaker on the launcher, or press ⌘⇧R. Dooze captures system audio and your microphone at the same time, both sides of the conversation.
You can also set meetings to record automatically. Go to Settings > Meetings. When enabled, Dooze detects when a call starts in Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or any app producing meeting-like audio, and begins recording on its own.
Live transcription
Words appear in real time as people speak. Dooze uses WhisperKit running locally on your Mac. Nothing leaves your device during the meeting.
Speaker labels are assigned automatically based on voice signatures. You can rename speakers after the meeting.
When the meeting ends
Dooze generates a summary, a list of action items, and a full transcript. These appear in the Notetaker tab of the panel. You can copy any section or ask follow-up questions about the meeting.
Bookmarks
Press the bookmark button during a meeting to mark a moment. Bookmarks appear in the transcript timeline so you can jump back to key points.
Cloud reprocessing
If you are on Lite or Heavy, you can reprocess a recording with a cloud model for higher-accuracy transcription and a more detailed summary. The original local transcript is kept alongside the cloud version.
Playback
Click any meeting in the Notetaker tab to play it back. Click a line in the transcript to jump to that moment in the audio.
Storage
Recordings are stored locally on your Mac. You choose how long to keep them in Settings > Meetings.
Unlimited
Meeting recording is free and unlimited on all plans. No caps, no time limits.
